This class is taught in a friendly, supportive environment at Kilauea Kreations 2, where creativity, community, and craftsmanship come together. You’ll learn step-by-step with experienced instructors who take the time to ensure every student feels comfortable, capable, and inspired.

What You’ll Learn

Over the course of the year, you will explore the full process of quilt-making, including:

• Understanding essential quilting tools and materials

• Choosing fabrics, colors, and patterns

• Rotary cutting and safe, accurate fabric preparation

• Piecing techniques for blocks, strips, and layouts

• Pressing for precision

• Adding borders and sashing

• Quilt top assembly

• Layering, basting, and quilting methods

• Binding and finishing techniques

• Tips on different ways to use your machine and improving your skills

By the end of the program, you’ll not only complete your own quilt—you’ll gain the confidence to continue quilting on your own and pursue new projects with pride.
